Economic Development (LED)
Description:
Small Entrepreneurship Certification System (Small-E) Hudson
Initiative.
In
the wake of hurricane Katrina, the Hudson Initiative was
legislated to facilitate the growth and stability of Louisiana's
economy. As a result, "Certified" small businesses are given
the oppurtunity to bid
on state
and public
contracts
so that they can compete with larger companies in the disaster
recovery effort.
The Small-E Certification System was quickly
developed to accept and process all of the incoming applications
in a timely, efficient manner.
Applications are submitted
by Registered users, processed by designated LED staff,
and made available to Prime users who may then award contracts
to certified businesses.

This entire undertaking was a team effort. As a graphic
designer I worked along side a programmer and under a project
manager. As a team of 3, we were able to complete this
task on an extreme deadline. |

After consulting with the team, I was responsible for
converting the Requirements document into a Content Outline,
and then into a Site Map. |

I established an order of operations for effeciently
creating the HTML pages and passing them to the programmer
for completion. |
